I have made many a times cake but this one is best than .
for making a simple cake here i am giving some easy tips to cook spongy cake. Take 1 cup flour,1 cup sugar, 1 full butter, 1 teaspoon baking powder, essence, cherry and nuts accordingly and the most important eggs.
Take flour and put it in some utensil and add eggs then stir it slightly now add butter, sugar baking powder and other ingredients to it.

bake it for full 15 minutes. then put it in your solar cooker and make it bake for about 2 hours approximately. your delicious and homemade cake is ready for party or celebration.

Thank you Sameet for sharing your solar cooker cake recipe. I'll have to admit, this is the fist cake recipe from India that we have received, but I am sure that it will work well here in the United States as well.
We have had a few other people from India share some other recipes, but yours is the first cake recipe.

Thank you for visiting our site and for sharing.

translation from Hindi to English
by: Nathan

I think you may be seeing a bit of misunderstanding and lack of communication skill in another language.

Most people in India would probably not have access to an electric or gas stove/oven such as we have here in the USA, so I think his reference was to the time meant for mixing the batter.
I think Sameet (contributor) may have meant for one to mix the batter for 15 minutes and then to cook it in the solar oven for two hours.
(I thought he did well in his description despite English not being his native language)

And, yes, it can take two hours to cook a cake in a solar oven, especially if it is a homemade solar cooker that may not be built as tight, insulated and with proper dimensions, reflector panel angles etc.
A commercial solar cooker, like the Global Sun Oven can usually cook a cake within 40-80 minutes, depending on the size and kind of cake.

Thanks for the comments that lead to some possible clarifications.

Why so long
by: Anonymous

Why does it take 2 hours to cook it in the solar oven and 15 min in your reg oven when a cake only takes 30 mins total?
Don't solar ovens work just like a regular in house oven?
