More cooking in the snow!

by James
(Shelbyville, Ky. USA)

Today I was unable to build the Copenhagen for part 2. I was out collecting materials when I came across a guy who's car was stuck in the snow! We spent quite a bit of time trying to get him out of his ditch.

I was able to get the SolSource out for some cooking though! Today I cooked my personal favorite, Chicken Tikka Masala! If you haven't ever had Indian Food...but like spicy things, I'd encourage you to give it a try!

I used chicken thighs as the protein in this dish. A few tips for people like me who have no idea what they are doing when they cook:

1.) You aren't saving that much money by getting chicken thighs. Just get the chicken breasts.
2.) Cook them THEN cut them. Otherwise you will find your hands a slimy nasty mess.

If you do any cooking at all, you might already know that -- but for those of you out there who are just beginning, that might save you a little bit of trouble.

snow is great
by: Jim La Joie

I was amazed that cooking in the snow was powerful. One of the few times I have burned food using a panel type cooker. I was at 6000' - but I believe it was the reflection off the snow, not the elevation that created the unexpected extra heat.

James, you cooked up a wonderful dish and didn't offer us any. Now I have to go and try to duplicate this wonderful looking dish.
Thanks for sharing your adventures with us.
