My Defrost Control Box Solar Oven

by Katelyn
(USA)

Hi, I am a sixth grade student who loves science, and my Dad owns a heating and air company. He has a lot of cardboard boxes. "You know", I said to my self,"I could probably find something interesting to do with the boxes." So like a usual nowadays kid I went to the internet. I found a site and it told me how to build a SOLAR OVEN!
I was exited so I got to work as soon as i found a box i could use. I could not find a pizza box so i used a Defrost Control Box it was small, but better than nothing! If you would like like to know what materials you could use, keep reading. See if you can imagine up your own solar oven!!!!

Materials:
RULER,MAGIC MARKER,SCISSORS,TIN FOIL,THICK PLASTIC,A STICK, AND TAPE AND/OR GLUE

Hi Katelyn
And Thank you for sharing with us.

It does sound like you have a very imaginative mind.

We love anything that has to do with solar cooking, and we love to hear how others have been able to make their own homemade solar cookers.

If you like, and when you are ready, maybe you could share with us some pictures of your solar oven and maybe even some of your cooking experiments...you know, some solar cooking recipes that you come up with.

Good luck with your solar cooking adventures!
