Reheated Fried Chicken in the Hot Pot
Today we reheated leftover fried chicken in the Hot Pot. (I still can’t believe how perfect the Solar Hot Pot is for leftover fried chicken. The chicken stays moist and juicy, while the crust gets nice and crispy!)
We also made another Sunny Apple Crunch (see separate post for recipe), but this time we substituted yellow plums for some of the apples. Forgot to stir sugar and flour into the fruit, so it was just fruit on the bottom and the oatmeal/brown sugar mixture on top. So it was quite tangy, but we loved it that way! Plus the extra juiciness and sweetness of the plums made it work. (I don’t think I’d try no sugar with the fruit if it were just sour apples. But it probably depends on how much you like sour. LOL)
I’ve been solar cooking for 3 1/2 months now, and I am still amazed at how wonderfully the sun cooks food!!!
