Here are some material specs from the manufacturer:(vinyl used for print jobs and other industrial uses)

1.0mil, 1.5mil or 2.0 mil print-treated metallized polyester films coated with 200-4986 permanent acrylic pressure sensitiveadhesive on a 90# layflat liner.
These films are designed to accept a variety of UV curable and solvent-based screeninks. May also be used with flexographic, offset and letterpress inks but must be tested prior to production.

Applications: Permanent decorative decals, product identification markings, pointof purchase decals, and consumer information labels. Recommended for use on flatsmooth substrates. Thoroughly test if substrate is textured or has curvature.

Thickness: Film 1.0, 1.5 or 2.0 mils.Adhesive 0.8 to 1.0 mil.Liner 6.7 mils.(Thickness variance +/- 10%)

Dimensional Stability: Good.

Temperature Ranges: Minimum application temperature is +50°F.Service temperature is -40°F to +250°F.

Expected Exterior Life: Up to 2 years for silver; 6 months maximum for gold.

Adhesion: To stainless steel 40 oz/inch.To painted metal 40 oz/inch.Tested according to PSTC-101 Method A, with a 24 hour dwell at 70°F and 50% relativehumidity. Typical values. Individual values may vary. Test thoroughly beforeproduction.

Water Resistance: Limited resistance. Test for specific application

Humidity Resistance: Good.

Storage Stability: 2 year shelf life when stored at 70°F and 50% relative humidity.

Reflectance rate: Reflectivity ratio is 86%, allowing for a high and effective solar ray concentration.

Adhesion and application tip:

The best way to apply the vinyl, according to the professionals, is to wet the substrate with a "water and very light soap concentration"; allowing you to move the vinyl around similar to the method used in putting up wallpaper.When you have the adhesive vinyl situated where you like, then you can use a rubber or plastic squeegee or painter's spatula to force the water out from under the vinyl and then you can allow it to dry and to adhere to the surface.
