The Kemp solar window oven

Quite a number of years ago I had a book on solar cooking and cookers. The author was a lady by the name of I think it was Kemp. She was a pioneer in the solar cooking movement. Of particular interest to me is the window solar oven she developed. I understood it was particularly good for northern areas. But I cannot find any directions on line for how to make it. Why has it faded from the scene? Wasn't it a good design? I am hoping you can direct me to a source of directions to make this oven or even better, a source for her probably out of print book.
