Earth Day is celebrated many ways across the country, but here in my area of Southern UT we had a grand Celebration at the Gateway to Zion which is a beautiful small town by the name of Springdale, UT.
I set up my Solar burner Parabolic cooker and 2 Global Sun Ovens, A Sport oven, A Hot Pot Panel Cooker, and a Solar Thermos.
Immediately , we had large groups of people who were fascinated watching the food cook. I enlisted my husband's help to fry off the scones and then make a cheesy potato soup on the parabolic while I cooked off Chocolate chip cookies, Squash bread, and Lemon Glazed Cake in the ovens and sweet n sour meatballs in the hot pot.
I never had time to cook my rice for the meatballs, but There were no leftovers for our dinner anyway!
Ironically, I was so tired after cooking 6 hours straight that I would have gladly let my husband take me to dinner but he predictably just wanted to go home!!!! All day cooking for hundreds of people and I went home and had . . . Cold cereal! He owes me!!!!!!!!
