Hey Sun Cats!
I started prepping for thanksgiving over the weekend and decided to attempt cooking a pumpkin to make puree for my pie for next week. I let the oven warm up and cut the pumpkin in half, put it open side down in the oven and let it cook....and cook...and cook. Turned out really good. Canned the puree after running it through a blender and threw it in the freezer for next week.Very happy with the way the gso works...It NEVER burns food like an oven. I can leave it in there and forget it for a few hours and its fine If I do cause the shadow will move over the box and cool the inside till you remember. Its really interesting.

Great to hear from you again.
That's just what we used our GSO for, to cook our Halloween pumpkin to make homemade pumpkin pies.
I will be anxious to hear how yours turns out.
I am also going to try and cook a very small turkey in ours if the day is sunny.
It will have to be small if I am going to cook a whole turkey in order to be able to finish it with the limited hours of sunlight, but we'll see how it works at this time of the year. I have no such problems on long summer days.
Thanks for keeping us entertained with your solar cooking contributions.
