Italian Sausage, Pepper, and Onion sandwiches

5 links of Italian sausage (4 oz. ea link)
1 Med. Green Pepper cut in 1 in. strips
1 lg. Onion cut in 1 in. strips
1 can Tomato sauce (8 oz.)
1/8 tsp. ground black pepper
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 tsp. Italian seasoning

In lg. skillet, brown sausages over med. heat. cut into 1/2 in. slices.
Place in 1 sport pan or other dark cookware. Stir in rest of ingredients. Cover and cook 2-3 hours till middle of sausage is no longer pink and peppers and onions are tender. Place a scoopful on Hoagie Rolls or buns. As messy as sloppy Joes but oh so yummy!

*Note: Just a suggestion, for those who have parabolic cookers; you can brown your sausage with it before mixing the rest of the ingredients in your solar oven to cook, if fact many people "brown" (cook) the sausages separately in their solar ovens also
