Solar Chef Blues (battling the summer clouds and rain)

Fruit Crunch ready to cook in the Hot Pot

Fruit Crunch ready to cook in the Hot Pot

Fruit and Carrots (not in the same Hot Pot, though LOL)

We have had so many clouds & rain it feels more like October than August! The cooler weather with it is nice, though. (smile)

But yesterday we managed to do another fruit crunch (this time plums, fresh figs, and apples). And along with that, we did more carrots.

Put them both in the Solar Hot Pots rather late (around 2:30), but it worked great! Let them “coast” until late supper (because hubby out doing errands). The carrots were wonderful and soft around 6:15 when we ate. The fruit was still warm around 6:45, and that’s even after we accidentally let the shade get to it. (smile)

Hopefully recipe 42 still coming from me this week, although we’ve been amazed at the cloudiness predicted, so we’ll have to wait and see!!
