Solar Cooked Peach Cake start

Solar Cooked Peach Cake at about 30 minutes

Solar Cooked Peach Cake at about one hour plus

1/4 C butter
1 pkg. yellow cake mix
1 pkg. (small) instant Vanilla pudding mix
1 egg
1 C milk
1 16 oz. can peach slices undrained
1/2 tsp. Almond extract

While Solar Oven is preheating, melt butter in uncovered roaster or divided between 2 loaf pans.

While butter is melting, mix together the cake mix and pudding mix. add the eggs, milk, and Almond extract and mix really well till smooth. add can of peaches. (Don't drain!) mix well. pour into pan when butter has melted and oven has heated to at least 300. Bake till done in center. Serve with a dollop of whipped cream on each piece.

Box Mix substitutions

It would be helpful if you could include the ounces of the box mix and what the box said should be the water/oil ration. This way, someone with a different box mix could compare and see if the same substitutions would work. :) But at least you used a box mix and found it to work. I'm having a hard time finding examples with box mixes at all!
