The Sun is back after days of cloudiness...time to solar cook.

Blueberry Quickbread

Today is our first really sunny day in a while this 8th day of March, and of course out came all of the solar cookers (well, half of them) and we cooked BLUEBERRY QUICKBREAD, BACON, WHITE BREAD (six loaves) DRY BEANS AND CHILI, And I even got over to the landfill to pick up two loads of compost for the garden...
Nothing like a productive day outside and good solar cooked food to boot.
I just talked to some customers today also that are using their Sun Ovens for the first time as well as a neighbor doing the same.

There is a pent up need to do some solar cooking after all of this cloudiness.

Always happy to "push" solar cooking efforts
by: Nathan

You know me, I don't need much reason other than sunshine to keep on cooking up a storm.

And Bruce, we had a bit of a breeze also, in fact it tipped two Sun Ovens because I did not brace the cookers, but no harm was done and the food still finished great.

Sunny but too much wind!
by: Bruce

I wanted to make some popcorn on the Solar Burner today, but although there's plenty of sun in Tucson today, there's also quite a bit of wind. I hope things die down later this afternoon so I can give it a go.

I've been using my solar cookers more and more these last few weeks.

Thank you for the push
by: Cal Griggs

Nathan,
Thanks for the push for me to get off my lazy behind and roll out my cookers.

The weather here in Laveen, AZ has been a bit cloudy so I have used that as an excuse, but no more! Thanks again for the motivation to "get 'er done"
