Hi, im Shae. My school is doing a class presidential election. A great majority of the kids are voting for a guy named Ricky, who wants more and more people to use solar cookers. Why is solar cooking so important?

Well Shae, let's see if we can answer that question for you. Why is solar cooking so important?

I think your classmate may know something that a lot of other people have not discovered yet and that is the role that solar cooking can play in helping to provide great cooked meals in a short period of time without using even one penny of electricity, gas or any limited fuel to cook the meal.

There are many, many more great reasons that solar cooking is important, and I will list just a few, and maybe other people will add their thoughts to this as well.

1- Solar Cooked food tastes great
2-Solar Cooking can save time
3-Using the power of the sun can recover the cost of buying or making a solar cooker, so it's essentially free
4-Solar cooking helps keep the environment cleaner and preserves our limited resources
